How billing works
Drasken Cloud bills by the hour, never more than each resource's monthly price, with one GST invoice per calendar month paid automatically from your payment method.
Drasken Cloud charges each resource by the hour from the moment it is first ready, never more than its monthly price in a month, and sends one GST invoice for each calendar month. The invoice is paid automatically from your payment method on the 1st, after an email the day before; you can also pay it yourself by UPI, card, net banking or bank transfer. There is nothing to top up in advance.
How is usage charged?
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Hourly | A resource's hourly price is its monthly price ÷ 730 hours, rounded up to the paisa |
| Monthly cap | A resource is never charged more than its monthly price in a calendar month |
| When it starts | When a resource you create is first ready. A create that fails is never charged |
| Minimum | One hour per resource |
| Stopped | A stopped app or database is not charged for its size; its storage still is |
| Jobs | Charged per minute of each run, at the size's price |
| Temporary space | 1 GB per app instance included; more at the storage rate |
Prices exclude GST, which is added on the invoice. See Pricing.
Where do I see what this month costs?
Billing → Overview shows what the month costs so far, by project and by resource, before tax. Each project's Usage & Costs page shows its own share. Times in billing are in IST.
When am I invoiced and charged?
Each calendar month (IST) is invoiced after it ends. Invoices are charged on the 1st, with an email the day before. See Invoices and GST.
Do I need a payment method?
Yes. When you start, the console shows Add a payment method by a date. If none is added by then, you can't create new apps, databases, volumes and jobs until you add one; what is running keeps running. See Payment methods.
What is credit?
Credit is an amount on your account, shown under Billing → Payments & credit. It is used first on your next invoice, before your payment method is charged. Credit can't be refunded or transferred.
How do I pay an invoice myself?
Under Billing → Payments & credit:
- Pay it now opens a secure payment page: UPI, card or net banking.
- Pay by bank transfer shows your organisation's own account details for NEFT, RTGS or IMPS. A transfer to it is matched to you automatically.
What happens if an invoice isn't paid?
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| An invoice is overdue | Reminders by email; everything keeps running |
| This organisation is limited | Nothing new can be created, started or upgraded |
| This organisation is suspended | Apps, scheduled jobs and databases are stopped. Your data is kept. They start again within a minute of payment |
Who can see and pay bills?
Owners, and members with the Billing role. See roles.
