Managed databases
Managed MySQL, PostgreSQL and Valkey databases on Drasken Cloud — sizes, connections, backups, metrics and what the platform runs for you.
Drasken Cloud runs managed MySQL, PostgreSQL and Valkey databases for you: you pick an engine, a version and a size, and the platform installs it from the engine's official image, keeps it running, encrypts connections with TLS, backs it up on your schedule and shows its metrics, slow queries and logs. Create one under Public Cloud → Databases with Create database; it is ready in a few minutes.
Which databases can I create?
| Engine | Versions | Backups | Restore |
|---|---|---|---|
| MySQL | 8.4 | Yes | Coming soon |
| PostgreSQL | 17, 18 | Yes | Into a new database |
| Valkey (Redis-compatible) | 9.0, 9.1 | Yes, in durable mode | Into a new database |
See Engines and versions. MongoDB and OpenSearch are marked Coming soon in the console.
Is a database highly available?
Standard databases run on one instance. High availability is coming soon. Use backups to protect your data.
Who can reach my database?
Apps and jobs in the same project, over TLS, with the database's user and password. Connections from the internet are coming soon. See Connect to a database.
What can I see about my database?
The database's tabs: Overview, Connect, Storage, Backups, Metrics, Health & Alerts, Queries, Logs, Events and Settings.
What does a database cost?
Each plan has a monthly price, charged by the hour, never more than the monthly price. A stopped database is charged for its storage only. See Pricing.
