Releases and app actions
Deploy a new release, restart, stop and start an app, go back to an earlier release, or delete an app on Drasken Cloud.
Every deploy makes a release from the app's current settings and the exact image its tag points to at that moment. From the app's page you can Deploy a new release, Restart the instances, Stop and Start the app, go back to an earlier release, or delete the app; the Releases tab lists every release and Activity shows who did what.
How do I deploy a new release?
Select Deploy on the app's page. A new release is made from the current settings, and the tag is resolved to its digest now — so pushing a new image to the same tag and selecting Deploy picks it up. When you change settings, Save and deploy does both at once; Save only keeps the change for the next deploy.
What does Restart do?
Restart restarts the app's instances with the same release. It does not ask for confirmation. Temporary space is emptied; volumes keep their data.
What happens when I stop an app?
More actions → Stop shuts down every instance and the app's address stops answering. A stopped app is not charged for its size; its volumes are still charged for their storage. Select Start to run it again.
How do I go back to an earlier release?
More actions → Go back to an earlier release, then pick the release. Its image and settings come back. Two things do not roll back: data on volumes, and secret values (the current ones stay).
How do I delete an app?
More actions → Delete, then type the app's short name to confirm. Its volumes are kept as Not attached unless you tick Delete its volumes too (unticked by default). Kept volumes are still charged for their storage until you delete them.
Can I create a job from an app?
Yes: More actions → Create a job from this app copies its image, size, command, user and environment groups into a new job. Variables set on the app itself are not copied.
