Apps
Run a container image on Drasken Cloud as a website, an API or a background worker, with HTTPS, scaling, logs and metrics.
An app on Drasken Cloud runs your container image as a website, an API or a background worker, on one or more instances of the size you choose. Each app gets an HTTPS address on the internet for its public port, a private address inside its project, logs, metrics and health checks; each change you deploy becomes a release you can go back to.
What can I do with an app?
| Task | Page |
|---|---|
| Deploy from a public or private image | Deploy an app from an image |
| Set environment variables and secrets | Environment variables and secrets |
| Choose a size, add instances, autoscale | Sizes and scaling |
| Open ports, find its addresses | Ports and addresses |
| Deploy, restart, stop, go back, delete | Releases and app actions |
| Read logs and metrics | Logs and metrics |
| Pull private images | Private registries |
| Keep files between restarts | Volumes |
| Run one-off and scheduled tasks | Jobs and cron jobs |
Who can create and change apps?
Organisation owners and admins create, change and delete apps. Members work with them; see roles.
What does an app cost?
The price is per instance, per month, for the size you choose, charged by the hour for the hours the app runs. A stopped app is not charged for its size. Each instance includes 1 GB of temporary space; more is charged at the storage rate. See Pricing.
What is coming soon?
Deploying automatically when a new image tag is pushed, building from a Git repository, and a container registry hosted by Drasken Cloud are planned. Today you deploy an image that is already in a registry.
